“As a child my friend’s played “house” and “school” while I played “lawyer”. I knew even at a young age that I wanted to help people by being their guide. My daily goal is to have clients leave me feeling better than they did before they met me. In representing clients I believe it’s important to make them aware of strategy and procedure. Family Law is a personal area, and no one should be left in the dark. I fell in love with family law as a paralegal almost ten years ago. I enjoy advocating for my clients and their families. I also enjoy configuring parenting plans that benefit not only the children, but the family as a whole. I was an advocate for victims of domestic violence before law school and now I advocate for both victims, and their families, in court. I believe children have a right to feel safe and secure in their own home and I am happy I can assist in getting them there. I respect the sensitivity of Family Law. I know the struggle divorce can be for families and I am proud to make to experience a bit easier.”
In undergrad, Shannon worked for the Legal Advocates for Abused Women, which helped victims of Domestic Violence. In law school, Shannon volunterred as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the Los Angeles Dependency Court’s CASA program. Shannon became an attorney in 2013, and her practice is limited to the area of Family Law. Shannon currently volunteers with the LA County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project, as well as the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law.
