Filing and serving Prejudgment Claim; 7. Service of papers on Defendant(s); 8. Mailing of "Notice of Service" from the process serving company 9. Review of "Proof of Service"; 10. Drafting of Default Papers (Request to Enter Default; Writ of Restitution; Clerk's Judgment for Restitution; Instructions to Sheriff); 11. Filing of Default Papers. CONTESTED EVICTION Law Offices of Kelly Chang will charge an additional fee of $1000 if the tenant answers the Summons & Complaint, or files opposing papers. The $1000 will cover the additional services: 1. Obtaining and reviewing Tenant's response; 2. Preparation and filing of a Request to Set Civil Case and Notice of Time and Place of Trial; 3. Conference with client to prepare for trial; 4. Trial of case; 5. After trial, preparation of Judgment, Memorandum of Costs, and Writ of Possession/lnstructions to Sheriff; 6. Delivery of the Writ of possession to the Sheriff's Office. Potential Services Which Are Not Covered: Depending on how the tenant responds, or if they request a JURY TRIAL, there may be other services and costs. If so, we charge at our normal hourly rate.
